LO2: Font style for logo/name and rationale

To create this font, I downloaded the font style Lemonade to Photoshop as it was Serif styled and created impact. I typed Mesh, which is the chosen title for my Event and changed the size to 200. I then put a grey background underneath the text. After this I merged these two layers together to make on layer. I then used the magic tool to select the text and then removed it, so that it was actually an empty space and I could put an image underneath the layer, and it would create the word mesh.

This is my favourite logo, as it is a technique that London Fashion Week used for their advertisement, which means I am following conventions of an existing graphic advertisement. I also like this Title the best as the font style is Serif and is engaging to the audience, making it appealing. It suit the genre of fashion as it is impactful.

First I created a new A4 document onto Photoshop, so I was able to add text.
By using the text tool I was able to write Mesh in the lemonade font style. I then double clicked on the text layer to create a drop shadow.

This is a screen grab of me changing the distance, speed and size to create a shadow. This is appealing to the target audience as it makes the title more engaging and standout.

This was the final result.

By using the text tool I was able to use the font style      for my title, Mesh.

I then double clicked on the layer to create a drop shadow, this made the text appealing to the target audience as it is engaging.

I then added a square behind the layer of text, and merged them together to create one layer.

By using the magic wand tool I was able to select the letters from the text.

This is a screen grab of me selecting the whole text.

I then deleted this, so when I put my main background image under the text, It will show through.

Using the text tool I was able to create Mesh in the font style.

By double clicking on the text layer I was able to create a drop shadow to make the text more engaging.

I then changed the colour to black, as it standout more.
